A pop-art based 2d commercial which required heavy compositing at the offline stage, I also tried to use an almost robotic style of editing so the human element was as neutral as possible.

A simple idea but nicely executed, the cutting involved a lot of compositing, timing and generally working in tandem with the effects house, (Ocean Monsters, CA.)

Originally four girls were chosen with only two to actually go on air, the director and I thought they were all just as appealing as the next and decided on a sixty second combined to achieve what we'd set out for.

A combined National Day and environmental friendly commercial.
A nice experience to work on, five days to edit and a lot of footage to sift through.
The music was pre-defined so it was like a jigsaw puzzle getting the right
combination of shots together.

The editing was created for a remix of the buddy holly song, however, once we'd place the original music onto the clip, the cut seemed to flow a lot easier.
I'm not sure if this one ever made it to air like this, I recall a re-edit done sometime down the line after the client reconsidered the freeze-frames.

A nice little story that fits nicely into thirty seconds.
I don't work with Nine very often so it was nice to help out a friend who was under a tight schedule to finish.

VW China 45sec

The agency had wanted a mix of beautifully shot environments contrasted with the power and flexibility of the car.
This was a fun edit to work on with lots of room to play with effects.

Honda Civic 30sec

The task was to create something new, slightly edgier than was achieved previously.
I thought the best way to do this would be to create an original soundtrack, which could then dictate the pace of the editing.
